Pleioblastus auricomus - Cultivation Notes
Be prepared for Pleioblastus to produce vigorous growth and rampant roots, but also take full advantage of this plants outstanding golden green foliage and compact low growing form. Plant in a sheltered spot in full sun or part shade and ensure the soil is well drained yet also fertile. A winter mulch every 2 -3 years will help improve this. Well suited to planting in a largish pot.
