Betula albo-sinensis - Cultivation Notes
Birch will grow on a variety of soils from dry sandy soils to heavy clays. Birch is especially tolerant of free draining sandy soils, and is fully hardy - flourishing in all conditions. Birch will not tolerate is heavy shade being a woodland edge tree.
